Map Guide
Engraved maps
Download the engrave-ready SVG. Every road, river and letter is a filled outline (no strokes), so LightBurn and other laser software engrave it exactly as shown. Black = engrave, red 0.1 mm hairline = cut. For photo-style raster engraving use the 300 DPI black-and-white PNG.
Line weights
Road widths are real millimetres on the finished piece. Below ~0.25 mm most diode lasers merge or skip lines — use Finer only on large pieces. On small items (ornaments, key tags) zoom in to a smaller area instead of thinning roads.
3D layered maps
Pick 3D layered map. The ZIP contains layer-1 (base, water colour), layer-2 (land, with engraved text and parks) and layer-3 (streets & frame). Cut each from 3 mm stock, paint or use contrasting woods, and glue bottom-up. The 3D tab previews the stack.
Water & coastlines
Lakes, rivers and sea are built from OpenStreetMap water areas and coastlines and clipped to the view. Very large lakes arrive cut to the search area and are closed along its edge — check the preview at the map border.
Several pieces on one board
Export the cut-line SVG and nest copies on your stock sheet with NestForge.
